our story
we've always had a thing for stuff. cups, plates, glasses, small home bits that catch your eye at a market or tucked in the back of a thrift store. there's so much beautiful things out there already. why buy new?
vintage pieces are often more original, better made, and more interesting than anything you'll find in a shop today. once you know that, it's hard to go back.
so what started as a habit of stopping at every french brocante and dutch market we passed turned into something slightly out of hand. every cup we bought came with the same question: where are we going to put this?
the answer, obviously, was kura.
we started curating, carefully, slowly, a collection of vintage tableware, glassware and home finds. things that make a table feel alive. colourful, authentic, a little unexpected. pieces that have been around long enough to have character, and are built well enough to keep going.
and honestly, using what's already there beats buying new every time.

if you're shooting food, interiors, or anything that needs a table that looks like it has a past — we've got you. we put together a dedicated selection of kura pieces for photo shoots: the odd cup, the interesting glass, the plate that actually looks good on camera. styled or unstyled, we can work with you on what fits the shoot.
